Dr. Hickman M. Johnson, Pastor/Published Author
Dr. Hickman M. Johnson, a pastor, published author, and the owner of Bestblacksermons.com, is a graduate of Tennessee State University (B.S.), Morehouse School of Religion, The Interdenominational Theological Center (M.Div.), Mississippi College (M.A.), and Emory University (D.Min.). He was awarded the honorary doctorate (D.D.) from Mississippi Baptist Seminary.
Since 1968, Dr. Johnson has served as pastor of the historic Farish Street Baptist Church. He was also a former chaplain in Tougaloo College (67-69) and an academic dean (81-89) and president (89-02) of Mississippi Baptist Seminary.
Dr. Johnson has written and published two books: Farewell, My Friends, a book of eulogies and He Taught Them Saying, A sermon series based on the Sermon on the Mount.
